You can port your Aircall numbers to another provider at any time. However, porting out your numbers does not automatically cancel your Aircall subscription. If you plan to cancel your subscription after the port-out is complete, please contact our Customer Success team or follow the steps in Cancelling your Aircall subscription.
Important: Your Aircall account must remain active until the port-out procedure is fully completed.
Port-out process
For most standard numbers, porting out can be completed directly without requiring additional approval from Aircall. Our systems automatically process these requests in compliance with local regulatory requirements.
Steps:
- Contact your new provider (gaining carrier) and request that your Aircall numbers be ported.
- Your new provider will inform you of the required details and handle the porting process on your behalf.
- If you need to confirm any porting information, or if your new provider requests additional documentation, contact our Customer Support team:
- A proof of ownership document can be provided if required. Aircall cannot issue itemized invoices, but proof of ownership is sufficient to authorize the transfer.
- Aircall does not use account numbers. If your new provider requests one, our Customer Support team can advise on what information to provide instead.
- Once the new provider confirms that the port has successfully completed, log in to your Aircall Dashboard and delete the ported numbers to ensure you are no longer billed for them. See Deleting your Aircall number.
Note: If you experience any issues with your port-out request, or if a port has been rejected and you need more information about the reason, please contact our Customer Support team for assistance.
Number eligibility
Most Aircall numbers can be ported out without issue. However, some restrictions may apply due to:
- Specific operator agreements
- Certain number ranges
- Service types that cannot be transferred between providers
Note: These are standard industry limitations and are outside Aircall’s control.
Port-out fees
Aircall does not charge any fees for porting numbers out. However, your new carrier may apply fees for transferring numbers into their services. We recommend confirming directly with your new provider whether any porting charges will apply.
