When placing an outbound call in Aircall, you may encounter an error message when dialing a specific phone number. This usually indicates that the number has been blocked by a local carrier or that your account is missing the required outbound calling feature. The good news is that these issues are simple to resolve.
Typical error messages
You may hear or see one of the following:
- “This number is temporarily unreachable.”
- “This number is blocked.”
How to request unblocking for a number
If you receive one of the messages above, follow the steps below to begin the unblocking process.
Steps:
- Contact your Account Manager and request activation of the required outbound calling feature.
- If you do not have an Account Manager, please contact Aircall Support.
- Include the following information in your request:
- The phone number you are trying to dial
- The error message you received
- The call UUID, if available
Once your request is received, the Aircall team will work on unblocking the number as quickly as possible.
Tip: Providing the call UUID helps speed up the investigation.
Special outbound calling considerations
In some cases, your account may not have all outbound calling features enabled. Aircall does not block entire countries or regions. If you experience issues calling a number, send it to us so we can verify that your account includes the appropriate features.
