Outbound Calling Permission
When you create an Aircall account, it comes with standard outbound calling permissions. If you need access to additional calling destinations or number ranges, you can reach out to your Account Executive or Customer Success Manager for assistance.
Permission Types
There are three levels of permissions available for outbound calling. Keep in mind:
- Aircall may adjust the conditions for these permissions at any time without prior notice
- Additional permissions are not available for trial accounts
Standard Permissions
By default, some destinations (specific countries or number types) are restricted. Aircall ensures access to a wide range of frequently used destinations, which you can find listed here for example. However, certain locations will remain blocked.
Additional Permissions
Worldwide Calling
When enabled, this configuration allows outbound calls to some number ranges that are blocked by default. Most countries will be reachable, but some ranges may be still restricted.
Premium Rate Services
When enabled, this configuration allows outbound calls to specific prefixes within each country code. These destinations may have different costs, referenced here. Most countries and number ranges would be reachable with minimal restrictions.
How can you request the enablement of advanced outbound permission?
As an account Owner or Administrator, you can contact your Aircall Account Executive or Customer Success team to request the enablement of the two configurations described above. Upon enablement, these changes may take up to 1 hour to be effective on your account.
Important Notes
Call Costs
Information about call costs can be found here.
Custom Permissions
Aircall will be able to enable Worldwide Calling (Expensive Destinations) or Premium Rate Services to your account, as described previously. Additional tailored and custom configurations to outbound calling won’t be possible for now. It is not possible to disable partially or completely international calling.
Fraud Prevention
Some destinations and ranges or numbers may be intentionally blocked by Aircall to prevent fraud and abuse of the system. However, if you request the ability to make calls with additional permissions, please be aware that you are responsible for any costs associated with those calls as mentioned in Aircall Terms & Conditions.
Enabling these configurations may result in higher call rates, and any charges incurred will be reflected on your account. It’s important to monitor these settings carefully to avoid unexpected charges.
Number Limitations
Some Number types may have their outbound limitations according to regulatory restrictions. For example, Toll-Free Numbers may only receive inbound calls, and outbound calls from these numbers may be blocked by local carriers.
External Numbers
External numbers, if not ported to or purchased through Aircall, may be blocked or have their Caller ID changed by the destination or intermediary carriers. Aircall cannot guarantee call reachability or the correct display of the Caller ID for External Numbers.
