When making an outbound call in Aircall, you might come across an error message when dialing a specific phone number. In these cases, the number may be blocked through the local carrier or you may not have the appropriate calling feature enabled in your account. However, these are easy to fix.
What are some typical error messages?
“This number is temporarily unreachable.”
“This number is blocked.”
Here are the steps you should follow to unblock the number:
-
Reach out to your Account Manager to have them activate the needed feature on your account.
-
If you do not have an Account Manager, escalate the request to unblock the number through this form
- Please include the number you are trying to dial (if you have the call UUID, even better!)
-
The error message you received
As soon as we receive the request, we’ll work on unblocking the number for you as quickly as possible.
Special Outbound Calling
In some cases, your account might not have all the right outbound calling features. Aircall will never block capability for entire countries or regions, so it’s best to send us the number you’re attempting to call so we can check your Account and ensure that you have the correct features enabled.
Calling Restrictions
Keep in mind that there are some calling limitations in specific countries that are outside of Aircall’s control.
