Mobile apps (iOS and Android)

For mobile apps (iOS and Android):

  • Emergency calls are intercepted and redirected to the native GSM app of the phone.
  • All the main emergency numbers across the world (Fire, Police, Medical, Emergency) are included on the mobile app.

Short numbers

“Short numbers” are numbers that have short digit sequences (typically 4 to 6 digits) and are significantly shorter than standard telephone numbers.

In most cases, short numbers cannot be dialed from Aircall due to technical limitations. This includes, for example:

  • Calling La Poste in France at 3631
  • Marketing or promotional short codes

Exceptions for French customers

Aircall has implemented a solution for some short numbers for French clients. These can be reached by dialing a corresponding long number instead.

Users will not be able to dial these short numbers directly. Instead, they can reach the same service by dialing the associated long number.

For example:

  • To reach CPAM employeur (short number 3679), simply dial +33184903679 to be connected.
Important: Only the numbers listed above can be called via their associated long numbers. Any other short numbers are not available from Aircall.
