If you would like to continue using a phone number that is active with your previous carrier, Aircall offers the ability to port your existing number(s) to your Aircall account (landline, geographic, national, toll-free, mobile numbers, etc.).
✅ Before initiating a porting request, make sure that you are a current Aircall customer and that you have subscribed to a plan. Trial accounts are NOT supported for number porting.
⚠️ Please note: Your numbers must remain active with your previous carrier in order to be ported into Aircall. If you cancel your account with your previous carrier before the numbers have been ported, then we will not be able to proceed with the porting.
What is Porting?
Porting commonly refers to the transfer of numbers across carriers so that the user of those numbers can keep using them on a different provider/carrier.
How do you get your Porting request started?
1. To start a Porting process, please submit a porting request on our 🔗 porting portal.
We will need to know the country and the number(s) you wish to port in, together with the Aircall account name to which the numbers should be ported. If there is any additional information needed, our team will reach back out to you with the request. That information can vary according to the country and phone number type.
2. Our team will then share the Letter of Authorization (LOA) with you as well as the list of additional documents if required. Aircall will submit the porting request as soon as you provide all the necessary documentation and the signed and dated LOA.
3 . Once submitted, both gaining and losing carriers will analyze the information and documentation provided and approve or reject the porting request. In case of rejection, you will need to contact your current provider to help unblock the situation. Our team will help with providing as much detail as possible on the rejection reason so you can discuss it with your provider. To find out more about how to Handle rejections please consult this Article.
4. Once approved, the Carriers will agree upon a date for the transfer to occur, and that will be communicated to you. At that time, time will prepopulate the numbers on your account for configuration purposes only. The numbers will not be active until the porting is completed, and they will remain under the control of the current carrier.
