The Collapsed call experience allows you to minimize an ongoing call and continue using the Aircall Workspace mobile app while the call remains active.
Note: Collapsed call experience is currently available only on iOS devices when using the Aircall app.
Collapse a call
While on an active call, you can minimize the call screen and continue navigating the app.
Steps:
- Tap the collapse icon in the top left corner of the call screen
- The call continues in the background
- A live call bar appears at the top of the screen
- You are redirected to the last screen you were using, or to the Conversations list if no previous screen was open
Live call bar
When the call is collapsed, a live call bar remains visible at the top of the screen across the app.
From the live call bar, you can:
- Mute the call
- End the call
- Return to the full call view by tapping the bar
The call bar remains visible when navigating between screens or opening modals.
While a call is active, it is marked as In-call in both the Conversations and Call history views.
Call status indicators
The live call bar updates based on the call state:
- Transfer in progress: Displays both the active call and the call on hold
- Conference call: Displays “Conference call” along with the number of participants
Activities during a collapsed call
While your call is minimized, you can continue using most areas of the app.
