The Aircall Android mobile app allows users to scan documents directly using their device’s camera. Scanned documents, up to 10 pages, are converted into a PDF and can be sent to customers as an MMS.
This feature makes it easy to share signed documents, forms, or written information directly from an SMS conversation.
How to use the Android document scanner with Aircall
When sending an MMS from an SMS conversation, Android users can scan a document instead of attaching an existing file.
Steps:
Open an existing SMS conversation in the Aircall Android app.
Tap the option to add an attachment.
Select the option to scan a document using your device’s camera.
Use your camera to scan up to 10 pages.
Review the scan and confirm.
The scanned document is automatically converted into a PDF.
Send the MMS with the PDF attached to the customer.
The scanned PDF is attached directly to the message and sent as an MMS.
Important: Standard MMS size limits still apply. PDF files are typically limited to approximately 600 KB.
