This widget allows your callers to leave a voicemail that will be sent to all the users that are associated with the call distribution it is placed into.
⚠️ Please note that if no users are connected to a number with a voicemail widget, no one will receive voicemails in their app. Therefore, at least one user or team must be linked to that number.
If you only want to receive voicemails, you can add users for Outgoing Calling only. This way, they won’t receive calls from that number but will still have access to the voicemails.
Widget Options
Text to speech
- This option allows you to write text of your choice and have it read out with the voice and the language of your choice
- Once done, you can listen before publishing
- It is not possible to slow down the text to speech, however, due to the natural variation between voices, each available voice speaks at slightly different speeds. For instance, with US English voices, Ivy and Joanna are slightly faster than Matthew, and considerably faster than Joey.
Custom file
- If you already have a pre-recorded audio file, you can upload this into the widget
- The file should be in MP3 format
Record audio
- If you have no pre-recorded file, but do not want to use text-to-speech, you can record a voicemail
Maximum message duration
- This is the maximum duration a callers message is allowed to be
- We recommend keeping this duration at 3 minutes to let callers leave comprehensive messages as needed
⚠️ Please be aware that any widgets configured after a voicemail will be ignored during the call. After a caller leaves a voicemail, the call will end.
