There are a few steps to follow when enabling your microphone permissions.
First, please ensure you have granted access to your microphone on your device.
For Chrome users on a Mac device:
-
Go to your System Settings. Click Privacy & Security, then Microphone.
-
Toggle on Google Chrome.
-
When asked to restart your Chrome application please choose “Quit & Reopen”. If you happen to click “Later”, restart the application to make sure your microphone permissions are updated.
For Chrome users on a Windows device:
-
Go to your Settings application. Click Privacy & Security, then Microphone.
-
In the Microphone section, Toggle on “Let desktop apps access your microphone.”
When using Aircall with a CTI within an integration (i.e Salesforce), you will need to grant microphone permissions to the integration partner:
-
Click the padlock icon in your browser’s address bar and toggle on microphone access.
-
You can also go to Chrome Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Site settings, then Microphone.
-
Toggle on “Sites can ask to use your microphone”
-
Under “Allowed to use your microphone”, make sure the integration partner’s domain is on the list and your permissions will automatically update.
