This article explains how to submit a number porting request for Spanish mobile numbers directly from the Aircall Dashboard. The process is self-service and completed in a few steps. The expected timeline is 10 business days.
What is number porting?
Number porting allows you to transfer your existing phone numbers from another carrier to Aircall without changing the numbers. Your team and customers continue using the same numbers while benefiting from Aircall features.
Availability
Self-service porting in the Aircall Dashboard is available for Spanish mobile numbers. To port Spanish geographic, national or toll-free numbers, open a support ticket and Aircall will manage the process for you.
Note: Self-service porting is also available for US, Canada and French numbers. See [Submitting a US or Canada porting request via the Aircall Dashboard](https://support.aircall.io/en-gb/articles/35215796339997) and [How to submit a French number porting request in the Aircall Dashboard](https://support.aircall.io/en-gb/articles/38889018992413).
Before you start
Preparing accurate information is essential. Missing or incorrect details are the most common cause of delays or rejections.
Requirements
- Identity verification (KYC): porting Spanish mobile numbers requires a validated KYC (Know Your Customer) verification. Verify your business identity before you start the request.
- NIF or CIF: the tax ID is mandatory, whether you port one line or several lines and their associated numbers.
- eSIM: an eSIM is required for each mobile number.
- No PIN or state: a security PIN and a state are not required.
Important: Numbers that are not tied to a verified business identity are removed from the request and must be submitted separately after verification is completed. Verify your identity first to avoid partial submissions.
Important: Make sure the NIF or CIF and the legal company name match the records of your current carrier. A mismatch is the top rejection risk.

Submit a porting request via the Aircall Dashboard
Step 1: Numbers to port
- Go to Aircall Dashboard > Numbers > Porting requests.
- Click Port a number, then click Start porting request.
- Enter a porting request name you can easily recognise, for example “Madrid mobile (Oct 2026)”.
- Select Spain as the Country.
- Enter your current carrier, the provider you are leaving.
- Enter the numbers to port in E.164 format, one per line.
- Choose a preferred porting date. There is no time selection, and the minimum lead time is 10 days. Aircall will do its best to accommodate your date, but the final date is set through coordination between your current provider and Aircall’s carrier.
- Click Validate. If your business identity is not yet verified, the dashboard shows the identity verification requirement before you can continue.
Note: Country, carrier, and numbers cannot be changed after this step.
Step 2: Account details
- Enter the Legal company name, exactly as registered with your current carrier.
- Enter the Authorised contact name.
- Upload your business license or operating permit.
- Optionally add the Account number. All numbers in a request should share the same account number to avoid delays.
- Optionally upload a Customer Service Record (CSR) (PDF, up to 3 MB).
- Click Next.
Step 3: Service address
- Enter the address registered with your current carrier. The country is pre-filled with Spain.
- Enter the city and the 5-digit postal code (for example, 28001).
- Upload a Recent Invoice Summary (RIS) from your current carrier (PDF, up to 3 MB). This is required to complete the request.
- Click Next.
Step 4: Authorization
- Review all the details you have entered.
- Under Letter of Authorization (LOA), sign the letter:
- Sign letter: enter the signer’s full name and email, then sign electronically.
- Send letter by email: the LOA is emailed to the recipient to sign outside the dashboard. Use this when the account holder is not the person using the dashboard.
- Check I confirm the information provided is accurate.
- Click Submit porting request.
Important: The LOA is a legal requirement. The request cannot be submitted without a signed LOA from an authorised representative.
After submission
Once submitted, you will receive an email confirming that your request is being processed. Our carrier will then submit your request to your current provider, and we will inform you of any updates regarding acceptances or rejections through your Aircall Dashboard.
Tracking your request
Track the progress of your request at any time in Aircall Dashboard > Numbers > Porting requests by clicking on your porting request.
Porting stages
| Stage | What happens |
|---|---|
| Request received | Aircall reviews your submission and signed LOA. |
| Submitted to carrier | Request is sent to your current provider for approval. |
| FOC date confirmed (Porting Scheduled) | A Firm Order Commitment date is scheduled and shared with you. The porting request is accepted and the numbers will be ported on this date. |
| Port completes | Numbers are transferred, with possible brief downtime. |
| Use your numbers | Assign numbers to users, IVRs, or call flows. |
Until completion, your numbers remain active with your current provider.
If your porting request is rejected
If your current provider rejects your request, a support ticket will be created on your behalf and we will let you know the next steps. You can view that ticket from Aircall Dashboard > Numbers > Porting requests by clicking View ticket in the Support ticket column.
