You can use Krisp’s noise cancellation with Aircall by selecting Krisp’s virtual microphone and speaker in your audio settings. When Krisp is detected, Aircall automatically disables its own noise cancellation to prevent double processing and maintain optimal call quality.
Why Aircall disables its noise cancellation
When the Krisp virtual device is present, Aircall automatically turns off its built-in noise cancellation. Using both Krisp and Aircall noise cancellation at the same time can negatively impact call quality. To ensure the best experience, Aircall relies solely on Krisp when it is detected.
Important: If Krisp is active, Aircall noise cancellation will be disabled automatically. This behavior is expected and ensures better audio quality.
Set up Krisp with Aircall
Follow these steps to configure Krisp with Aircall:
- Open Krisp.
- Select your physical microphone and speaker.
- Enable Krisp’s noise cancellation if needed.
- Open Aircall and go to Settings > Audio settings.
- Under Input, select Krisp Microphone.
- Under Output, select Krisp Speaker.
- If you see a message indicating that noise cancellation is disabled because Krisp was detected, this is expected.
Krisp will now handle all noise cancellation during your calls.
Tip: Always verify that both input and output devices are set to Krisp in Aircall to ensure proper functionality.
