This article explains how to verify and adjust your Windows 11 settings to ensure Aircall notifications appear correctly. The steps below apply whether you are using Aircall Workspace Desktop or Aircall Workspace on Google Chrome (Web or CTI).
Windows 11 includes features that can automatically silence notifications, such as Do Not Disturb rules that activate when apps are in full screen. Adjusting these settings helps ensure you do not miss incoming Aircall alerts.
Check Windows notification settings
Start by confirming that notifications are enabled for Aircall and your browser.
Steps:
- Press Windows + I to open Settings.
- Select System, then choose Notifications.
- Make sure Notifications is turned On.
- Scroll to the list of apps and locate:
- Aircall Workspace
- Google Chrome (if you use Aircall Workspace on the web or CTI)
- Confirm that notifications are allowed for these apps.
Disable automatic Do Not Disturb triggers
Windows 11 can automatically enable Do Not Disturb in several scenarios such as full screen apps, display duplication, or focus sessions. When this happens, Aircall notifications may be silently blocked.
Steps:
- Go to Settings.
- Select System, then Notifications.
- Open Turn on do not disturb automatically.
- Review options such as:
- During these times
- When duplicating your display
- When playing a game
- When using an app in full screen mode
- For the first time after a Windows feature update
- Uncheck all available options.
Important: If any of these options is enabled, Aircall notifications, including priority banners, may be blocked whenever the condition is met.
Add Aircall to priority notifications
Adding Aircall to your priority list ensures notifications still appear even if Do Not Disturb becomes active.
Steps:
- Open Settings.
- Select System, then Notifications.
- Click Set priority notifications.
- Choose Add an app.
- Select:
- Aircall Workspace
- Google Chrome
Test notifications
After updating the settings, verify that notifications work as expected.
Steps
- Place a test call in Aircall.
- Check that a notification banner appears, even if other applications are open.
- If notifications do not appear, review the Windows settings above and confirm browser permissions are enabled.
