Starting February 2026, all Professional Plan customers have access to AI Assist, a suite of AI-powered conversation intelligence features, at no additional cost. This article explains what is changing, how it affects your account, and how to get started with AI Assist.

What is changing

AI Assist is now included as a core feature of the Professional Plan. Previously available only as a paid add-on, AI Assist gives your team access to powerful conversation intelligence tools that help you work smarter and deliver better customer experiences.

When these changes take effect

The rollout happens in two phases.

Phase 1: Feature access (February 11, 2026)

  • All users on your Professional Plan gain access to AI Assist
  • No changes to your current invoice
  • You can begin activating AI Assist for your team immediately

Phase 2: Invoice update (at your contract renewal)

  • Your invoice will be updated to reflect the new plan structure
  • You will receive a detailed notice 45 days before your renewal date
  • If you previously purchased AI Assist, the separate line item will be removed

How this affects your account

If you have not purchased AI Assist before

You now have access to AI Assist for all users on your account at no additional charge. Your current contract terms and renewal date remain unchanged.

If you already have AI Assist

Immediate benefit: All users on your account now have access to AI Assist, not just those with existing licenses. If you previously purchased AI Assist for only some of your team members, everyone can now use it.

At renewal: Your invoice will be simplified. The separate AI Assist line item will be removed, and your per-user rate will be adjusted to reflect AI Assist being included in your plan. You will receive a detailed notice explaining your specific changes 45 days before your renewal date.

Important: In most cases, customers who previously purchased AI Assist will see their total cost decrease or stay approximately the same after renewal. Your 45-day notice will include the exact details for your account.

How to activate AI Assist

AI Assist is enabled at the account level by default, but individual users must be activated before they can use the features.

To activate AI Assist for users:

Steps:

  1. Navigate to Dashboard → Users & Teams.
  2. Click on a user, or select multiple users.
  3. Open the Add-on Assignment drawer.
  4. Toggle AI Assist to enabled.
  5. Click Save.

You can activate AI Assist for all users at once or selectively enable it for specific teams.

Note: Only Account Owners and Admins can activate AI Assist for users.

How to disable AI Assist

If you prefer not to use AI Assist features, you have full control over how it is deployed on your account.

To disable AI Assist for specific users

Steps:

  1. Navigate to Dashboard → Users & Teams.
  2. Select the user or users you want to disable.
  3. Open the Add-on Assignment drawer.
  4. Toggle AI Assist to disabled.
  5. Click Save.

To disable AI Assist for your entire account

Account Owners can turn off AI Assist at the account level.

Steps:

  1. Navigate to Dashboard → Account→ Plan.
  2. Toggle AI Assist to disabled.
Important: When AI Assist is disabled at the account level, no users can access AI Assist features, and the activation toggle will be unavailable in the Users & Teams page.

Understanding your renewal

You will receive a renewal notice 45 days before your contract renewal date. This notice will explain any changes to your invoice and provide specific details for your account.

What to expect in your renewal notice:

  • Confirmation that AI Assist is included in your plan
  • Any adjustments to your per-user rate
  • If applicable, removal of the AI Assist line item from your invoice
  • Your total invoice amount after renewal

Frequently asked questions

Will my bill increase?

For customers who have not purchased AI Assist before, your current contract pricing remains unchanged. You are receiving additional features at no extra cost.

For customers who previously purchased AI Assist, your invoice will be adjusted at renewal to reflect the new plan structure. In most cases, your total cost will decrease or stay approximately the same because the separate AI Assist charge is removed. Your 45-day renewal notice will include exact details.

Why is Aircall including AI Assist in the Professional Plan?

AI-powered conversation intelligence has become essential to modern business communication. By including AI Assist in the Professional Plan, Aircall is ensuring all customers on this plan have access to the tools they need to work smarter and deliver better experiences, without additional purchasing decisions.

Does this change my contract term or renewal date?

No. Your contract term and renewal date remain the same.

What if I do not want to use AI features?

You have full control. AI Assist features must be manually activated for each user, so they will not be enabled unless you choose to turn them on. Account Owners can also disable AI Assist entirely at the account level in the Plan → Security settings.

I recently purchased AI Assist. What happens to my investment?

Your team gains immediate access to AI Assist for all users, not just those with existing licenses. At renewal, the separate AI Assist charge will be removed from your invoice. If you have concerns about timing, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager to discuss your specific situation.

Can I still purchase AI Assist separately?

No. As of February 11, 2026, AI Assist is no longer available as a separate add-on for Professional Plan customers. It is included in your plan for all users.

What about AI Assist Pro?
