This guide explains how to configure Aircall Workspace for desktop so that it launches automatically when you sign in to your computer. Instructions are provided for both Windows and macOS. These steps assume that Aircall Workspace is already installed.
Prerequisites
- Aircall Workspace for Desktop is installed and currently open.
- You are logged in with a user account that has permission to change startup or login settings.
Configure startup on Windows
Follow the steps below to add Aircall Workspace to the Windows Startup folder so the app launches automatically when you log in.
Step 1: Locate Aircall Workspace in Task Manager
- Right click the Start button, or press Windows key + X, and select Task Manager.
- If Task Manager opens in compact view, select More details.
- Select the Processes tab.
- Scroll through the list or use the search bar to find Aircall Workspace.
- Expand the task, then right click one of the Aircall Workspace processes.
- Select Open file location.
- A File Explorer window will open containing the AircallWorkspace.exe file.
Step 2: Open the Startup folder
Some applications do not register automatically in the Windows Startup list. You can manually add Aircall Workspace using the Startup folder.
- Press Windows key + R to open the Run dialog.
- Enter one of the following commands:
- For the current user only:
shell:startup - For all users:
shell:common startup
- For the current user only:
- Press Enter.
- A File Explorer window will open showing the appropriate Startup folder.
Step 3: Add Aircall Workspace to the Startup folder
- In the File Explorer window opened in Step 1, locate AircallWorkspace.exe.
- Right click AircallWorkspace.exe and select Copy.
- Go to the Startup folder window opened in Step 2.
- Right click inside the folder and choose:
- Paste shortcut (Windows 10), or
- Paste then More options then Paste shortcut (Windows 11).
- Windows will now launch Aircall Workspace automatically each time you sign in.
Step 4: Remove Aircall Workspace from startup (optional)
If you no longer want Aircall Workspace to launch automatically:
- Open the Startup folder by running shell:startup or shell:common startup.
- Delete the shortcut for Aircall Workspace.
- Restart Windows to confirm the change.
Configure startup on macOS
Step 1: Add Aircall Workspace using System Settings
- Click the Apple menu.
- Select System Settings (or System Preferences, depending on your macOS version).
- Go to General and then Login Items.
- Select the + button below the list of login items.
- In the Finder window, open Applications, then select Aircall Workspace.
- Click Add.
Step 2: Add Aircall Workspace from the Dock
- Make sure Aircall Workspace is running.
- Right click the Aircall Workspace icon in the Dock.
- Hover over Options.
- Select Open at Login.
Both methods will ensure that Aircall Workspace starts automatically when you sign in.
Step 3: Remove Aircall Workspace from login items (optional)
- System Settings method: Go to System Settings then General then Login Items, select Aircall Workspace, and choose the minus button.
- Dock method: Right click the Dock icon, select Options, then deselect Open at Login.
