The Bullhorn integration is available to all Aircall customers at no additional cost, apart from your existing subscriptions with both Bullhorn and Aircall. For installation and configuration steps, please see the Bullhorn v4 setup guide. Here is a list of integration features:
Find your contacts on every call
When an inbound or outbound call is made using an Aircall number, the integration automatically searches Bullhorn contacts and candidates by phone number.
The supported number formats include:
| Format type | Example |
|---|---|
| International format | +1 123 456 7890 |
| International (digits only) | +11234567890 |
| Without country code | 123 456 7890 |
| Without country code (digits only) | 1234567890 |
| US local number | +1 123 456-7890 → (123) 456-7890 |
| UK local number | +44 1256 274690 → 1256 274690 |
Important: For UK landlines, you must include the initial 1. The integration will not find a contact with the number 0256 274690.
The integration searches for phone numbers in the following Bullhorn contact and candidate fields:
- Phone
- Work phone
- Mobile
- Phone 2
- Phone 3
View Bullhorn data in Aircall Insight Cards
When a call starts (inbound or outbound) and a contact or candidate is found in Bullhorn, the associated information appears in the Aircall Insight Card.
The Insight Card displays:
- Contact name, email, company name, owner, status, and comments
- A direct link to the Bullhorn record
- For contacts: Company name and Job title
- For candidates: Category
Log calls in Bullhorn notes
At the end of each call, if a contact or candidate is found in Bullhorn, a note is added to their record.
Note: The call activity is multi relational for contacts associated with companies, and it will log in both objects.
Details logged:
- Created by: The Aircall user (if the email matches). For calls without an associated Aircall user (such as inbound missed calls), the integration assigns the user who connected the integration.
-
Action: If Aircall tags have been added to the call the integration will use the first tag as action, in other cases the actions will be:
Inbound Call
Outbound call
Left message (For inbound calls that hit the Aircall voicemail.)
-
Comment body: will be a note containing:
Title of the event: Inbound or Outbound Call
Notes: Comments added by Aircall user in Aircall
CAll ID and duration.
Aircall team, and number if available.
Call tags and comments added by agent, when those are added before ending the call. If they are added after, a separate text section will be added to the same note.
Link to the conversation in Aircall Dashboard (Recording, AI…)
AI Insights
If you are subscribed to the Aircall AI package and the call qualifies for AI-generated summaries and key topics, these insights are automatically added to the Bullhorn note.
Log SMS in Bullhorn notes
SMS messages are logged in Bullhorn when:
- SMS is sent or received
- A contact or candidate is found in Bullhorn by phone number
- SMS logging is enabled in the integration settings
Details logged:
- Created by: The Aircall user (if the email matches). For inbound missed SMS, the integration assigns the user who connected the integration.
- Comment body: Contains the SMS message text.
Note: MMS messages are not supported, and images will not be logged.
Logging behavior:
- If Log as conversations is enabled, all Aircall SMS sent or received for a contact or candidate are logged in the same note.
- Otherwise, each SMS is logged as a separate note.
Important: If a note exceeds 10,000 characters, a new note will be created automatically.
Log tags and comments
When a call is tagged or commented on after it has ended, the integration adds an amendment to the Bullhorn note with the new tag or comment information.
Click to dial
Using Bullhorn’s native functionality, clicking a phone number in Bullhorn automatically opens your Aircall Workspace, allowing you to start the call immediately.
One-way contact sync
When a call starts, the integration can automatically add your Bullhorn contacts to Aircall if:
- The contact exists in Bullhorn but not in Aircall
- Contact sync is enabled in the integration settings
Secure setup and Aircall number selection
The integration uses OAuth for secure authentication and a simple setup process. If you are logged in with admin permissions, installation takes just a few clicks.
During setup, you can select which Aircall numbers to connect with Bullhorn. The integration will log call activity only for inbound and outbound calls made with those selected numbers.
