The Bullhorn v4 integration is developed by AOS, an Aircall certified solution partner, and is available to all Aircall customers at no additional cost besides your existing Bullhorn and Aircall subscriptions. This guide explains how to install, configure, and uninstall the integration, along with details about each setting.
Before you begin
Before starting the installation, make sure the following conditions are met.
Important: The Bullhorn user account used during installation must have permission to create and edit notes. If not, the integration will not work as expected.
- If you already have an installation with the current Bullhorn v3 or the new v4, ensure you remove the existing one from Aircall before reinstalling again.
- Set up your Aircall number settings before the installation (Recordings, call routing, Transcriptions, etc.)
- Your Bullhorn contacts should have phone numbers stored in a supported phone number format to ensure the integration is able to match contacts by phone number, otherwise the integration features will not work as intended. Check our Bullhorn integration features article to see what formats are supported.
- For call summaries, sentiment, and conversation topics to appear in Call activities you need to have the AI Assist add-on activated. These features will only be generated for users with an assigned add-on license.
Install the integration
Steps:
- In the Aircall Dashboard, go to Integrations & API and search for Bullhorn v4.
- Start the installation and follow the prompts shown at each stage.
- After authorizing both systems, you will be redirected to the Bullhorn integration settings screen.
- Enter your Bullhorn username so the integration can identify and verify your data center.
- Select your preferred settings.
- Click Save and continue.
- Once the configuration is complete, place a test call. If the Bullhorn contact appears in Aircall Insight Cards, the installation is successful.
Uninstall the integration
Steps:
- Open the Aircall Dashboard.
- Navigate to Integrations & API.
- Select Bullhorn v4 and click Uninstall.
After uninstalling from Aircall, the integration will also be removed automatically from Bullhorn. Any previously synced data will remain unchanged.

Call logging settings
| Log AI insights | If enabled and your account includes the Aircall AI package, AI insights are logged with the call. This includes the Call Summary and key conversation topics. |
| Log call recording link | When enabled, a link to the call recording in the Aircall Dashboard is added to the logged call information. | |
| Ignore calls under 60 seconds | When enabled, only calls longer than 60 seconds are logged. | |
| SMS logging settings | Log SMS as conversation | SMS messages are added to the same note when they occur within 72 hours of the note's last update and the note is within Bullhorn's character limit. Otherwise, the SMS is logged as a new note. |
| Create a note for each SMS | Each sent or received SMS is logged as a separate note. | |
| Do not log SMS | No SMS messages are logged to Bullhorn. | |
| Handling duplicate contacts | Log the contents in the most recent item | If duplicate contacts or candidates share the same phone number, the call is logged to the record created most recently. |
| Do nothing | If duplicates are detected, no logging occurs. | |
| Contact Sync | Sync Bullhorn contacts and candidates to Aircall | When a call happens in Aircall, the integration searches Bullhorn for a matching contact. If found and no Aircall contact exists, one is created in Aircall. |
Note: Aircall does not allow duplicate contacts. If a contact already exists with the same phone number, it will be overwritten with the new information.
