Power Dialer is designed to streamline outbound calling workflows in Aircall Workspace. It allows you to import a list of phone numbers, automatically dial them in sequence, and focus on conversations instead of manual tasks. With built-in wrap-up time after each call, you can reliably add notes, apply tags, and complete follow-up actions before moving to the next number.
Availability and access
Power Dialer is available on the Aircall Professional plan. It can be accessed in Aircall Workspace on:
- Desktop app at workspace.aircall.io.
- Web app available at aircall.io/download
Important: Mobile devices using the Aircall application cannot use the Power Dialer.
To access the Power Dialer:
- Open Aircall Workspace (desktop or web).
- Select Power Dialer from the left sidebar.
- You land on My dialing list, where you can import or add phone numbers.
Important: To use the Power Dialer with the Chrome extension, make sure that you have the latest version installed from the Chrome web store.
How to add numbers to the list
The Power Dialer works based on an imported list. There are several ways to add phone numbers to your dialing list:
Import a CSV file
Copy and paste numbers
Add numbers using Aircall’s Chrome browser extension
Before you start: list requirements
Before creating your dialing list, make sure it meets the following requirements:
- A list can contain up to 1,000 numbers.
- CSV imports are limited to 1 MB.
- Phone numbers must be in E.164 format (for example,
+14155552671). - When importing a CSV file, only column A is read. All other columns are ignored.
- The first column containing phone numbers must have a header.
- Separator between values must be a comma or semicolon
- If you use Google Sheets, make sure to download your list in the .csv format before importing.
Important: Numbers that do not meet these requirements are rejected during import.
Import numbers via CSV file
This is the recommended method for large lists.
Steps:
If it's the first time you are adding numbers to Power Dialer, drag and drop the CSV file, or select it from your computer.
If you already have some numbers in your dialing list, click the Import numbers icon in the My dialing list section of the Power Dialer page. Drag and drop the CSV file, or select it from your computer.
Use the provided template by clicking on Download template or your own CSV file in the expected format.
Enter numbers manually
This option is useful for short lists or quick follow-ups.
Steps:
- Click the Import Numbers symbol in the My dialing list section of the Power Dialer page
- Click Enter manually
- Copy & paste the numbers in the expected format, or enter them manually
- Hit Add numbers
Add numbers using the Aircall Chrome Extension
When using the Aircall Chrome Extension, you can detect phone numbers directly on supported webpages and add them to your Power Dialer list.
For setup and usage instructions, please see our article How to use Aircall's browser extensions.
Troubleshooting imports and list issues
Power Dialer automatically checks your list during import and prevents invalid entries from being added.
Import errors
You may see import errors if:
- The file is not in CSV format.
- The file exceeds the maximum size or contact limit.
- Phone numbers are not formatted in E.164.
When this happens, you may see messages such as:
- “Import failed, no numbers added. Please make sure your file is in CSV format and try again.”
- “Import failed, no numbers added. Please make sure your file contains a maximum of 1,000 records and try again.”
If an import partially succeeds, Power Dialer displays a summary showing:
- How many numbers were imported successfully.
- How many errors and duplicates were detected.
You can download an error file to review rejected rows and understand why they were not imported.
Duplicate numbers
Duplicate phone numbers are automatically rejected to keep your dialing list clean. Remove duplicates from your source file and try importing again.
Review and manage your dialing list
From My dialing list, you can view and manage your numbers before and during a Power Dialer session.
From this view, you can:
- See the total number of imported phone numbers.
- Review the full list of numbers in dialing order.
- View existing contact information for known numbers, such as name, company, or recent notes, when available. If a number is not recognized, only the phone number is displayed.
- Remove numbers individually from the list.
- Delete the entire list using Delete all list.
- Add additional numbers at any time by importing a new CSV file, entering numbers manually, or using the Chrome extension.
Changes made to the list are reflected immediately and apply to the next calls in the dialing sequence.
Start and manage a dialing session
Once your list is ready, you can begin dialing.
Steps:
- Click Start session.
- Select the outbound phone line to use for the session.
- Power Dialer automatically starts calling numbers in the order they appear in the list.
Important: The selected phone line applies to all calls in the session and cannot be changed once the session has started.
Manage calls during a session
During an active session, you can:
- Skip a call and move to the next number.
- View CRM information linked to the number, when available.
- Add tags or comments during or after a call.
- Pause the session to temporarily stop the dialing sequence.
-
Remove one or more numbers from the list, except for the call currently in progress.
Wrap-up Time
When using the Power Dialer, you benefit from dedicated wrap up time, if configured, after each call. This allows you to:
Add tags or notes
Re queue a contact by adding it to the bottom of the list if a call is unanswered, skipped, or ends with a voicemail drop
Once the wrap up time expires, the Power Dialer automatically starts dialing the next number.
You can optimize this workflow by enabling Automatically end wrap up upon completing after call work in Call Settings, allowing the next call to start immediately after confirming the call ended view.
If Mandatory tagging is enabled for your number, the tagging prompt will appear after each call as usual.
