Continuity Camera is a feature introduced in macOS 13 (Ventura) that allows iPhone owners to use their phone’s camera as a webcam for their Mac.
When this feature is enabled, macOS not only uses the iPhone’s camera for video, but also uses the iPhone’s microphone as a new audio input device.
Because Continuity Camera uses the local network to transfer audio and video data between the iPhone and the Mac, this audio source cannot be considered reliable for calls made with Aircall.
To ensure stable audio quality with Aircall, it is recommended to disable Continuity Camera on your iPhone.
How to disable Continuity Camera
Steps:
- On your iPhone, open the Settings app.
- Go to General.
- Tap AirPlay & Continuity (or AirPlay & Handoff, depending on your version).
- Turn off Continuity Camera.
