Aircall’s native SMS feature enables one-to-one messaging, allowing teams to efficiently communicate with prospects and customers directly within Aircall.
Important: SMS is currently available only for numbers in the US, Canada, UK, France, Australia, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Poland, and Ireland. Please, check information about availability and coverage.
MMS is available only for US, Canada, and Australia numbers.
Number requirements
For UK, France, Australia, and Germany, only mobile numbers can be used for SMS.
If your Aircall number is a different type (for example, Geographic/Local), SMS functionality will not be available.
Note: SMS is a domestic service only. The sender and recipient must be in the same country.
The only exception is US ↔ Canada, where cross-border SMS is supported.
Sending a message
You can send an SMS directly from several places in Aircall Workspace, including the Start Conversation, Conversations, Calls, and Contact views.
Steps:
- Click Start conversation in the vertical menu.
- Use the search bar to find a contact or manually enter a phone number.
- Click Send message.
- You’ll be redirected to the Conversation view, where you can begin your SMS exchange.
Alternatively, you can initiate a message from an existing conversation or contact by clicking the SMS button.
