To make and receive calls, Aircall must have permission to use your microphone. Follow the steps below based on your macOS version.
macOS Ventura (13) and later
If you are using macOS Ventura or a newer version such as Sonoma, follow these steps.
- Open System Settings from the Apple menu.
- Select Privacy & Security from the sidebar.
- Click Microphone.
- Find Aircall in the list of applications.
- Turn on the toggle next to Aircall to allow microphone access.
macOS Monterey (12) and earlier
If you are using macOS Monterey or an older version such as Big Sur or Catalina, follow these steps.
- Open System Preferences from the Apple menu.
- Click Security & Privacy.
- Select the Privacy tab.
- In the left menu, choose Microphone.
- Click the lock icon in the lower left corner to unlock the settings.
- Enter your administrator password if prompted.
- Find Aircall in the application list.
- Check the box next to Aircall to allow microphone access.
Restart Aircall
Aircall must be restarted for permission changes to apply.
Important: If Aircall prompts you to restart, select Quit & Reopen.
If the prompt does not appear or you select Later, manually quit the Aircall application and relaunch it to ensure the microphone permissions update correctly.
