Aircall collects the required taxes from customers in compliance with local laws, based on the billing address associated with each account.

Tip: Not sure which billing address is linked to your account? See our article How to update your billing address.

France tax

In accordance with French tax regulations, and because Aircall’s legal address is in France, a 20% VAT is applied exclusively to the total invoice amount for companies with billing addresses in France.

European Union countries taxes

Under the EU VAT directive, companies based in European Union countries may be tax-exempt through the reverse charge mechanism (also known as auto liquidation). To apply this exemption, a valid VAT number must be added to your Aircall account.

Please provide your Aircall EU VAT number if your business is located within the European Union.

Examples of VAT number formats:

  • For Spain, the VAT number format is ESXXXXXXXXX.
  • For Germany, the VAT number format is DEXXXXXXXXX.
Tip: Check the VAT format for your country here.
Important: Only users with **Owner** permission can request VAT number modifications or additions on an Aircall account.
