Aircall's services were designed for optimal call quality, functionality, and ease of use when used through our applications, rather than a physical phone. However, the use of SIP devices is possible.
⚠️ Please keep in mind SIP devices are not the intended use for Aircall. You will not have the ability to Transfer, Place calls on hold, Use Feature keys or receive DSS/BLF or Voice Mail Notifications.
If you are interested in proceeding with the use of a SIP device with Aircall, please reach out to your Aircall Account Manager to request the SIP phone/device permissions.
Once the feature is active:
Activate the SIP Credentials:
In the Aircall Dashboard under Users >> Call Preferences you will see the section “Forward calls to a SIP device'
Click 'Generate SIP Credentials' to generate the credentials you need to activate your SIP device on Aircall.
In the “Add SIP Device” section, please add this URL in the domain: aircall-production.sip.twilio.com and the generated username in the username field.
Assign a default Line for outgoing calls:
In the Aircall Dashboard under Users >> Numbers & Teams you will see the section “Associated Numbers'. Select a default number, which will assign the default line the SIP phone will use when calling out. If this is not selected you will not be able to make outgoing calls.
