As a new feature related to Smartflows, Aircall Admins can now import an existing Smartflows call distribution to another number. This helps save time setting up new numbers and making changes to existing numbers.
If you have not updated any Aircall number to Smartflows, we recommend learning how to migrate numbers to Smartflows here.
Import a Smartflow distribution to a brand new Aircall number
To import a Smartflows call distribution to a brand new Aircall number, first make sure that you have at least one number using Smartflows that you’d like to import.
Then, follow the number creation process as usual.
Once the number is created, navigate to the “Call distribution” tab and click “Build your call flow.” You will now have the option to either import an existing Smartflows setup or build the call distribution from scratch.
Import a Smartflows distribution to an existing Aircall number
To import a Smartflows call distribution to an existing number, first make sure both numbers are already using Smartflows.
Next, go to the number you’d like to create or change. Click “Edit,” and you will see the Smartflows Editor where Admins can build call distributions.
You will now see an “Import” button in the top left corner. Click “Import,” then “Import a setup.”
Choose how you’d like to import
You will now be able to search for and select the number you’d like to import. If the number does not appear here, make sure that number has already been migrated to Smartflows.
Once you have selected the number, you will now be able to choose what you would like to import.
- You can choose to import only the steps of the call distribution, not configured. In this case, you will need to set up all the steps of the call flow again, such as ringing rules, business hours, audio messages, etc. This is recommended if you want to replicate the structure of a call distribution but not the exact behavior.
- You can choose to import the call flow with its full configuration. This will replicate the call flow exactly. This is recommended if you want identical behavior across numbers, or if you want to only change a few details of the call flow.
- You can choose to import the number settings. This will replicate the configurations under the number’s “Settings Tab,” such as whether call-back requests, call recording, and call transcription are enabled.
- You can choose to import the connected integrations. For instance, if the selected number is connected to a HubSpot integration, the number you are working on will also connect to that HubSpot integration.
Once you click confirm, the number will be imported based on the selected criteria. From there, you can choose whether or not to continue editing the call flow or to publish it.
