NIF (Numéro de Identificacion Fiscal) & CIF (Certificado de Identificacion Fiscal)
For porting within Spain, the NIF or CIF is required to be listed on the porting request. If the numbers being ported are associated to an individuals account the NIF would need to be provided. If the numbers porting are associated to a company account then the CIF would need to be provided.
-
NIF (Numéro de Identificacion Fiscal) - This is the tax ID for Spanish citizens.
-
CIF (Certificado de Identificacion Fiscal) - This is the tax ID for all Spanish companies. The equivalent of a VAT number.
Customer Service Record (CSR)
A Customer Service Record (CSR) is a document detailing account information for a given phone number or numbers.
You can request a CSR from your current carrier and it should have all required information needed to port your numbers.
Submitting a porting request with a CSR in addition to your most recent invoice will often lead to faster port processing and less risk of rejected porting orders from your current provider.
Number Range Vs Single-Line
When porting Geographic numbers there are two main categories, Single-line or Multiline ports.
-
Single Line Port - A port order for an individual number or group of numbers that are not associated to a number range. Single Line numbers are able to be ported freely and individually as single numbers.
-
Multi-Line Port- A port order used when porting a large batch or range of numbers. On occasion numbers can be grouped together in ranges varying in size from 10 to 100+. If the numbers you are looking to port are part of a larger range or have associated numbers all numbers will need to be ported together.
-
If you are uncertain if your number is a single line or part of a range it’s recommended you contact your current carrier to confirm your number configuration before submitting your porting request.
