If you want to use a specific number in your Aircall account to make outbound calls, but you do not want that number to be part of inbound call distribution, you can enable Call and data access (formerly known as Outgoing calls only) on the number.

Users added for Call and data access can make outbound calls and monitor activity for the line, but they cannot receive inbound calls to that number.

Note: At the moment, it is not possible to set up a number for inbound calls only.

Set up call and data access on an Aircall number

Steps:

  1. Go to Aircall Dashboard > Numbers

  2. Select the number you want to enable Call and data access for.

    • Tip: You can also search for the number using the search bar on the left side of the screen.

  3. On the number’s page, click the Teams & Users tab.

  4. Under Teams & Users, find the Call and data access section.

  5. Click Add a user.

  6. Search for the users you want to add to Call and data access.

  7. Click Add.

Once a user is added to Call and data access, they will see the number available in their application and can start making outbound calls. They will not receive any inbound calls to this phone number.

Remove a user from call and data access

If you need to remove a user from Call and data access, you can do so from the same section on the number’s page.

Steps:

  1. In the Call and data access section, locate the user you want to remove.

  2. Click the three dots on the right side of the user details.

  3. Click Remove.
