This article explains how to update the Salesforce admin user account used for authentication in your existing Aircall–Salesforce integration. Follow the steps below to revoke the current authentication and re-authenticate under a new owner.
Important: Part 2 of this process will invalidate the current authentication and temporarily stop the integration from working. Perform this change outside of business hours to minimise disruption.
Part 1: Revoke current access in Salesforce
Steps:
- Log in to Salesforce with the current admin user account that owns the authentication.
- Navigate to My Personal Information or your profile settings.
- Go to Advanced User Details.
- Find the OAuth Apps section.
- Locate Aircall for Salesforce and click Revoke next to it.
- Log out of Salesforce.
Note: Clicking Revoke immediately invalidates the authentication and stops the integration from working until re-authentication is complete.
Part 2: Re-authenticate the integration in the Aircall Dashboard
Steps:
- Go to Aircall Dashboard > Integrations > Apps
- Click on your existing Salesforce integration.
- Go to the Settings tab.
- Click the Re-authenticate button.
- Log in with the new Salesforce admin user account you want to set as the authentication owner.
- Follow the on-screen steps to grant access.
- Once re-authentication is successful, you will be redirected back to the Aircall Dashboard and the re-authentication banner will disappear.
Note: After re-authentication, all future tasks created by Aircall will show the new Salesforce admin user in the Created by and Last Modified by fields.
