If your company has multiple Aircall accounts and you want to access each one using the same base email address, you can do this by using email sub-addressing instead of creating new mailboxes. Once you have access to multiple accounts, you can also switch between them from the Aircall Dashboard without entering your credentials each time, using the account switcher.

Important: Make sure that your email provider supports sub-addressing before you use this method.

What is email sub-addressing?

Sub-addressing is an email feature that lets you add a tag or identifier to your existing email address without creating a new mailbox.

It is most often created by adding a “+” sign followed by a keyword of your choice.

Example:

  • Primary email address: john.doe@email.com
  • Sub-addressed email: john.doe+example@email.com

All emails sent to john.doe+example@email.com will still be delivered to the primary address john.doe@email.com.

How to use sub-addressing with Aircall

Once you have chosen and created a sub-addressed version of your email, follow these steps to use it on another Aircall account:

Steps:

  1. Go to Aircall Dashboard > Users & Teams > All users
  2. Click Create one or multiple users > Create one user.
  3. In the email field, enter the email address with the tag, for example: john.doe+example@email.com
  4. Complete the user creation flow as usual.

You can repeat this process as many times as needed to access multiple Aircall accounts using the same base email address with different tags.
