Before installing the monday.com V2 integration, you need to make sure that your monday.com account has the required access rights and permissions.

You must have:

  • The Admin role for your monday.com account (or for the specific monday.com product being used).
  • Permission to create boards in the Main/default Workspace.
Note: If you are using multiple monday.com products, including Work Management, and are facing permission issues during installation, you should also check whether you have admin rights and board creation permissions at the account level, as well as in the default workspace of Work Management.
Tip:
• By clicking on gird icon or product switcher (9 dots icon next to profile name or image) in monday.com account you can check/view if you have Work Management added to your account.
• If its added and Work Management is not used as part of your monday.com account, its recommended to remove it, as it having it added to monday.com account can cause permissions issue during integration installation.
• To remove Work Management from monday.com account navigate to Adminstrator -> Billing -> Overview -> Find Work Management in product list & click on 3 dots (... ) next to it and select Cancel/Delete Product.

The steps below explain how to confirm both prerequisites.

Workaround for Monday integration permission errors

If you encounter a permission error while installing or using the Aircall in monday.com, this may be caused by missing permissions on monday.com's end. Reinstalling the app can resolve the issue.

This workaround applies to users with admin rights and board creation permissions in monday.com.

Steps to reinstall the Aircall app

Step 1: Uninstall the Aircall: Call & SMS Integration App

  1. In your monday.com account, go to Administrator → Apps.
  2. Locate the Aircall App.
  3. Click the three dots (⋮) next to the app and select Uninstall.

Important: Ensure the app is uninstalled from all workspaces. You can verify this by clicking the three dots (⋮) → Permissions to see if it’s installed in specific or all workspaces.

Step 2: Reinstall the Aircall app

  1. While reinstalling the Aircall App, please ensure you select "All Workspaces" as the option.

  2. Once the app is fully uninstalled from all workspaces, reinstall the Aircall App in your monday.com account.

Step 3: Retry the integration

  1. Go to your Aircall Dashboard --> Intergrations & API
  2. Try installing the monday.com integration again.
Note: Due to a permissions issue on Monday’s side, required permissions may not be properly returned, which can trigger a permission error. Reinstalling the app typically resolves this issue.
