The JobAdder v2 integration is developed by the Aircall certified solution partner AOS. It is available to all Aircall customers at no additional cost, aside from the existing JobAdder and Aircall subscription fees. This guide explains how to install, configure, and manage the integration.

Before setting up the JobAdder v2 integration, make sure you complete the following steps:

  • If you already have a JobAdder or JobAdder v2 installation, remove the existing one from Aircall before reinstalling.
  • Configure your Aircall number settings (such as recordings, call routing, and transcriptions).
  • Pair each phone number with a user to ensure all use cases function correctly.
  • Ensure your JobAdder contacts are stored using an international (E.164) phone number format, so the integration can match contacts properly.
  • To display call summaries, sentiment, and conversation topics in Call Activities, you must have the Aircall AI package activated.

Installation process

Steps:

  1. From the Aircall Dashboard > Integrations & API, then search for JobAdder v2.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions during the installation flow.
  3. After authorizing both systems, you will be redirected to the settings screen.
  • Adjust the settings as desired.
  • Click Save & continue.
  1. When setup is complete, make a test call to confirm functionality.
    • Call an existing contact. If the contact appears in your Aircall Insight Cards, the integration is working correctly.
Important: If you uninstall the integration, do so from the Aircall Dashboard. It will automatically be removed from JobAdder. This action does not delete any data that has already been synced.

Integration settings

Call logging

  • Log AI insights: When enabled (and if subscribed to Aircall AI), call summaries and key topics will be logged with the call information.
  • Log call recording link: When enabled, a link to the Aircall Dashboard call recording will be logged with call details.

When a call ends, an activity is added to JobAdder if a match is found:

    • Event title: Call details
    • Call information (ID, contact number, duration, direction, start time)
    • Aircall information (username, Aircall number name)
    • Missed call reason (for inbound missed calls)
    • Call tags and agent comments (added before call end or later as an amendment)
    • Link to the Aircall Dashboard conversation (recording, AI, etc.)

SMS logging

You can choose how Aircall SMS messages are logged in JobAdder:

  • Log SMS as conversation: All Aircall SMS sent or received for a contact or candidate will be logged in the same note if:
    • The SMS was sent or received within 72 hours of the last modification of the note.
    • The note does not exceed JobAdder’s character limit. Otherwise, a new note will be created.
  • Create a note for each SMS: Each Aircall SMS sent or received will be logged as a new note.
  • Do not log SMS: No Aircall SMS will be logged.

SMS messages are logged in JobAdder when:

  • Sent or received via Aircall
  • A contact or candidate is found in JobAdder by phone number
  • SMS logging is enabled in settings

Logged information:

  • Created By: Aircall user
  • Type: SMS Conversation or SMS (depending on your settings)
  • Comment body: Title (sent or received), date, Aircall number, and message body
Note: MMS messages are not supported, and images will not be logged. If a note exceeds 65,535 characters, a new one will be created.

Handling duplicates

  • Log the contents in the most recent item: If multiple contacts or candidates share the same phone number, the call will be logged in the most recently updated record.
  • Do nothing: If duplicates are found, the integration will not log the call.

Contact sync

  • Sync JobAdder contacts & candidates to Aircall: When an Aircall call occurs, the integration searches for a matching contact in JobAdder. If found and no existing Aircall contact exists, it will create one automatically.
Note: Aircall does not allow duplicate contacts. If a contact already exists with that phone number, it will be overwritten with the new information.
