Various services may send authorization or verification codes, OTPs, or 2FA texts using short code numbers in a different phone number format. For example, 1234 instead of 123-456-7890.

As a result, you may be unable to receive texts from these short code numbers since they are not recognized as valid numbers.

For your security, we suggest using an alternative verification method, as it can be difficult to predict if a short code number will be used to send such a text beforehand.
