When uploading a profile picture for yourself or your team members in the Aircall Dashboard, you may encounter errors or see the image displayed in the wrong orientation. This article explains why that happens and how to format your image so it uploads correctly.

Symptom

When trying to upload a profile picture in the Aircall Dashboard:

  • The picture file does not upload and an error appears, or

  • The upload succeeds, but the image is rotated or displayed in the wrong direction

Cause

This issue most commonly occurs when:

  • The image is not in JPEG format, and/or

  • The image size is 2205 x 2138 pixels

In these cases, the Dashboard may be unable to process the file correctly, which leads to upload errors or orientation problems.

Recommended format and size

To avoid errors and ensure your profile picture uploads and displays correctly:

  • Use JPEG as the image format

  • Use an image size of approximately 500 pixels (with the image scaled proportionally, as in the example shown in the screenshot)

Important: The supported format for profile images in the Dashboard is JPEG.
Images that are not JPEG or are very large (for example 2205 x 2138 pixels) are more likely to fail or appear rotated.
