If you have accidentally deleted a number from your Aircall account, our Customer Support team may be able to help you recover it. This article explains how to request number recovery and what steps to take once your number has been restored.
Requesting number recovery
To request recovery, contact the Customer Support team.
Steps:
- From the Aircall Help Center --> Click "Contact Us"
- Submit a request --> Number Porting, Purchasing, and Compliance
- Be sure to include the exact numbers you wish to recover.
Important: Number recovery is not always possible, as it depends on the provider and the amount of time that has passed since deletion. If you are looking to recover a number after several weeks, the number must first go through an availability check. The sooner you make your request, the more likely it is that we can retrieve the number.
Note: Once a number is deleted, all associated data is permanently erased. Aircall can only recover the number itself, not any previous settings or data recordings.
After recovery
Once your number has been successfully restored, you will need to set it up again before using it with Aircall. To do this, log in to the Aircall Dashboard, go to Numbers, and configure your call distribution rules. Then, adjust your business hours, greetings, and any other settings as needed.
