This article explains how to use the Aircall–Salesloft integration to log calls, manage tags, sync cadence stages, and automate workflows. If you need help setting up the integration, refer to this configuration guide.
Logging call activity
All calls made or received in Aircall are automatically logged in Salesloft as Call Notes. Each entry includes key call details such as:
- Whether the call was inbound or outbound
- Whether it was answered or missed
- The name of the Aircall line used
In addition, call comments and a link to the call recording are included in the log.
Tag logging
Tags applied during or immediately after a call are automatically synced to the person or contact profile in Salesloft.
Important: If a tag is added after a call has ended (from the call history), Aircall will append or add it to the person/contact profile.
However, if a tag is removed and a new tag is added, no action will be taken to remove the original tag from Salesloft. You can manually remove it from the person/contact profile in Salesloft.
Note: If a tag already exists on a person/contact profile in Salesloft, it will not be added again.
Viewing caller details with Insight Cards
When you receive or make a call, Aircall Insight Cards display the corresponding Salesloft Contact or Lead information directly in the Aircall app. This allows you to access Salesloft records with a single click while on the call.
Syncing Aircall tags with cadence stages
You can use Aircall tags to automatically update Person Stage cadence in Salesloft, reducing the need for manual updates.
Steps:
- In Aircall Dashboard > go to Call Settings > Tags
- Create one tag for each cadence stage (for example, Completed, Bounced, etc.).
- Each time an agent applies a tag in Aircall (e.g., "Completed"), the corresponding contact stage in Salesloft will automatically update to "Completed".
Important:
• Use tags mapped to a single, specific Person Stage. Avoid using multiple tags mapped to different stages on the same call.
• If multiple stage-mapped tags are applied, only the first tag will be considered.
Automating cadence steps
With Cadence Automation, you can choose whether a Phone Type step in a Salesloft cadence should be automatically marked as complete when a call is made.
This does not require importing cadence information into Aircall. You can define cadences and add contacts directly in Salesloft.
Once a call is initiated, Aircall checks if the contact is part of a cadence with a pending Phone step. Based on your automation settings, Aircall will automatically mark that step as complete in Salesloft—no manual updates required.
Automatic contact creation
Depending on the CRM integrated with Salesloft (Salesforce, HubSpot, or none), you can configure the integration to automatically create new contacts in both the CRM and Salesloft.
Mapping dispositions and sentiments
Within the Salesloft integration settings, you can map Aircall tags to call dispositions and sentiments in Salesloft. This allows you to log the call outcome and sentiment directly from Aircall using tags.
Troubleshooting
If your call or contact information is not syncing as expected, review the following:
- Only phone numbers in the E.164 format are supported
- The integration requires a three-way sync between Aircall, Salesloft, and your chosen CRM (Salesforce or HubSpot).
- Your Aircall account must be properly connected to your Salesloft account.
- Lead or Contact records in Salesloft must be synced with Salesforce or HubSpot if one was selected during installation.
- If a contact exists only in Salesloft (not in Salesforce or HubSpot), Insight Cards and call logging will still work.
- If caller details do not appear in Aircall, check that the number is associated with a Contact or Lead in your CRM and formatted in E.164.
Note:
• Salesloft includes a native CTI/dialer that is not integrated with Aircall.
• Calls made through the Salesloft dialer will not be logged in Aircall or Salesloft via this integration.
• For outbound calls, use the Aircall Desktop or Web app, including the Click-to-Dial feature to initiate calls directly from Salesloft.
