Sync Aircall with Gong to gain conversation intelligence and valuable insights into your call activity. This integration allows Gong to capture and analyze your sales conversations directly from Aircall. 

Setting up the integration in Aircall

Make sure that you have Admin access to both your Aircall and Gong accounts. Follow these steps to generate an API key that Gong will use to connect with your Aircall account.

Steps:

  1. Log in to your Aircall Dashboard> Integrations & API
  2. Under the API Keys section, click Generate an API key
  3. Enter a name for your key
  4. Copy and save the API ID and API token. You’ll need them later when configuring Gong.

Setting up the integration in Gong

Once you have your Aircall API credentials, complete the setup in Gong.

Steps:

  1. Log in to your Gong account.
  2. Click your profile icon at the top right corner, then go to your company’s Settings.

  1. Under Integrations, select Telephony system, then choose Aircall.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to add your Aircall API Key and API Token.

Adding users to Gong

Each team member who should have their calls recorded must be configured properly in Gong.

Steps:

  1. Go to the Team Members management page in Gong.
  2. For each user, set the Record option to “On.”
  3. Make sure that your Aircall system is added or activated.
Important: Ensure that each user’s name, email address, and phone number in Aircall match exactly with the information in Gong. This allows Gong to correctly identify and record calls.

Using your Gong integration

Once the integration is active, Gong automatically captures and analyzes your Aircall conversations. The platform uses AI to identify trends, highlight successful sales tactics, and uncover improvement areas.

Within Gong, you can:

  • Decide which representatives’ calls should be recorded.
  • Build libraries of “best in class” calls to share as examples with other teammates.
  • Review call data and insights to refine team performance.
