When configuring your Aircall Salesforce integration, it is important to make sure the correct settings are selected for the Type field in Salesforce, as calls will not log if they are not. You will need to set the correct Field-Level Security for this field, as well as add it to your Task Page Layout. Follow the steps below for Salesforce Lightning or Salesforce Classic to ensure everything is set up correctly.

Important: If the Type field is not configured correctly, calls will not log in Salesforce.

Salesforce Lightning

Set field-level security

Steps:

  1. Log in to Salesforce.

  2. Click on Setup.

  1. Search for and click on Object Manager.
  1. Find and click on Task

  1. Go to Fields & Relationships, then click on Type

  1. Click Set Field-Level Security

  1. Select Visible for all options, then click Save

Steps

  1. On the Task page, click Page Layouts, then Task Layout.

  1. Drag the Type field into the Task Detail section wherever you would like.

Salesforce Classic

Steps:

  1. Log in to Salesforce.

  2. Click on Setup.

  1. In the left-hand menu, find the Build section.

  2. Click the drop-down for Customize, then Activities, then click on Task Fields.

  1. On the Task Fields page, find and click on Type

  1. On the Type page, click Set Field-Level Security

  1. Select Visible for all options, then click Save

  1. From the Setup page, go to the Build section.

  2. Click the drop-down for Customize, then Activities, then click on Task Page Layouts.

  1. Click Edit for your Task Layout.

  2. Drag the Type field into the Task Detail section wherever you would like.
