The Weather app in Aircall provides real-time weather and location information about your callers during both inbound and outbound calls. These insights are displayed directly in the Caller Insights section of your Aircall phone.

This feature works for phone numbers from specific countries, allowing you to view caller location and weather details based on their area code.

Supported countries

The Weather app currently supports phone numbers from the following countries:

  • Switzerland

Important: If your business is not based in one of these countries but frequently calls them, you can still benefit from Weather app insights. The app uses phone number area codes, not geolocation data, to provide country, city, and weather information.

How to install the Weather app

  1. From your Aircall Dashboard > Integrations & API
  2. In the search bar find and select Weather
  3. Click Install integration

Note: Aircall will request authorization to share call data with the Weather app during setup.

Step 1: Authorize the app

Click Authorize when prompted. This grants the app permission to access call data required to display weather and location insights.

Step 2: Connect an Aircall number

  1. Choose the first Aircall number you want the Weather app to work with.
  2. Click Add number.

  1. Once complete, click Link your numbers now to return to the Aircall Dashboard.

FAQs

Is it free to use?

Yes. The Weather app is completely free to install and use. Adding it to your Aircall account does not incur any additional charges.

What countries are supported?

The app works for phone numbers from: Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Morocco, Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the USA.

Even if your business operates outside these countries, you will still see insights when calling numbers from them.

How does the app determine location?

The Weather app does not use geolocation technology. It identifies the caller’s country and city based on the region and area code of the phone number.

No additional caller data is stored or tracked. Weather and location insights are simply displayed under Caller Insights during calls.

Tip: You can use this feature to learn more about international area codes and regions as you make calls.

Does it display Celsius or Fahrenheit?

The temperature unit depends on the country of the phone number:

  • Celsius: Countries where Celsius is standard (for example, France, Australia).
  • Fahrenheit: Countries where Fahrenheit is standard (for example, the USA).
