Aircall is introducing Add-on Provisioning.
What is Add-on Provisioning?
Add-on Provisioning refers to an assigned license-based model. This means that, for some Add-ons (now called "Provisioned Add-ons"), account Owners / Admins must assign Add-on licenses to the specific Users who need access to those Add-on features.
Users who haven't been assigned Provisioned Add-on licenses will not have access to those Add-on features.
The Aircall dashboard has been updated to allow Owners / Admins to easily assign and more flexible purchase certain Add-on licenses as needed.

How to assign licenses
There are two ways to assign licenses to users, both of which are accessible on the Users page:
Per User Assignment: Assign Add-on licenses to individual Users
- Use the toggle corresponding to each Add-on to grant individual Users access. Toggling on an Add-on and clicking Confirm assigns all toggled licenses to the User, granting them immediate access. Conversely, toggling off an Add-on(s) un-assigns the license(s), immediately removing that User's access to Add-on features
- Each Add-on has a corresponding licenses balance, with the total licenses available to assign displayed in the top right corner of each Add-on's tile
- When Total Available Licenses > 0: toggling on an Add-on assigns the User one of the available licenses (reducing the account balance by 1)
-
When Total Available Licenses = 0: toggling on an Add-on purchases an additional Add-on license, and then assigns it to the User
- During a trial, all Users have access to the Add-on. Admins with Owner permissions can click the Enable link in the in-trial Add-on tile to navigate to the Add-on’s purchase page (where they can purchase the Add-on)
Bulk User Assignment: Assign Add-on licenses to multiple Users at once
- Similar to the per User interface, each purchased Add-on has a corresponding tile. Admins can assign Add-on licenses to any number of existing Users on the account by typing their names into each Add-on field
- When an Admin enters more Users than there are available licenses on the account (and clicks Confirm), the additional licenses needed to fill the gap will be purchased and assigned
- During a trial, all Users have access to the Add-on. Admins with Owner permissions can click the Enable link in the in-trial Add-on tile to navigate to the Add-on’s purchase page (where they can purchase the Add-on)
Short Term Impact to Existing AI Assist Customers
Starting June 2nd, AI Assist customers can begin assigning licenses to Users. They’ll also be able to purchase more licenses as needed.
Customers will have until June 30th to complete their assignments.
Starting June 30, AI Assist insights will only be generated for calls made by Users (all roles) with an assigned AI Assist license, and only Admins and Supervisors with an assigned AI Assist license will have access to insight aggregation features such the Trackers page, scorecards, and call evaluations.
Customers do not lose their AI Assist licenses if they’re not assigned by June 30th. Unassigned licenses will be stored on the account balance, available to be assigned as needed.

What You’ll See on Your Invoice
As part of this update, you’ll notice some changes in how your invoice displays AI Assist charges. Specifically:
- Your invoice subtotal will remain unchanged
- AI Assist licenses will be presented as separate line items
- In cases where AI Assist was bundled with the price of Additional Users, you’ll now see these charges separated and clearly labeled
This change is designed to provide greater transparency without impacting the total amount billed.
