The Bullhorn v4 integration has been developed by the Aircall certified solution partner AOS. The integration is made available to all Aircall customers at no extra cost besides the price of the subscriptions with both products, Bullhorn and Aircall.
Installation guide
Before starting
⚠️ Important! During installation, the user account used in Bullhorn must have permissions to create and edit notes, otherwise the integration won’t work as intended.
- If you already have an installation with the current Bullhorn v3 or the new v4, ensure you remove the existing one from Aircall before reinstalling again.
- Set up your Aircall number settings before the installation (Recordings, call routing, Transcriptions, etc.)
- Your Bullhorn contacts should have phone numbers stored in a supported phone number format to ensure the integration is able to match contacts by phone number, otherwise the integration features will not work as intended. - For call summaries, sentiment, and conversation topics to appear in Call activities you need to have the Aircall AI package activated
Installation steps
- The installation flow must start from the Aircall Dashboard. Go to the Integrations & API section and search for the Bullhorn v4 integration
- Follow the instructions prompted at each stage during the installation
- After authorizing both system you will be redirected to the settings screen

- Enter your username so the integration can determine your data center and verify it.
- Select the rest of the settings as desired.
- Click Save & continue
- Once done, make a test call to confirm that everything works. You can call an existing contact, and if the contact appears in the Aircall insight cards then the integration is working correctly
Uninstalling the integration
The integration needs to be uninstalled from Aircall to have immediate effect. Once you uninstall the integration in the Aircall Dashboard, it will also be automatically removed from Bullhorn. This will not remove any data that has already been synced.

Call logging
Log AI Insights
If this setting is enabled, and you are a subscriber of our AI package, the call AI insights will be logged alongside the call information. This includes Call Summary and key topics.
Log call recording link
If this setting is enabled a link to the call recording pointing to the Aircall dashboard will be logged with the rest of the call information.
SMS logging
Log SMS as conversation
All Aircall SMS sent or received for a contact or candidate will be logged in the same note if the following conditions match:
- The SMS was sent or received no later than 72 hours after the last modification of the note
- The note doesn’t exceed the maximum bullhorn character limit
In other cases it will log as a new Note.
Create a note for each SMS
All Aircall SMS sent or received for a contact or candidate will be logged in a new note.
Do not log SMS
No Aircall SMS will be logged.
Handling duplicates
Log the contents in the most recent item
When the integration finds 2 contacts or 2 candidates with the same phone number, if this setting is enabled, the call will be logged in the one that was created more recently.
Do nothing
When the integration finds 2 contacts or 2 candidates with the same phone number, nothing will be logged.
Contact Sync
Sync Bullhorn contacts & candidates to Aircall
Every time there is a call in Aircall, the integration will look for a contact in Bullhorn. If it finds one, and there is no Aircall contact already, it will create a contact in Aircall.
⚠️ Please Note: Aircall doesn’t allow for duplicate contacts. If a contact already exists with that phone number, it will be overwritten with the new information.
