Symptom
When calling Argentinian mobile/cellphone numbers from non-Argentinian numbers, the calls do not connect.
Cause
Placing outbound calls to Argentinian mobiles from non-Argentinian numbers requires that an extra “9” be added after the country prefix. If you do not add the “9”, the call will not be able to be connected. Additionally, if the prefix "15" is included in the number you are trying to dial, that "15" must be excluded.
Solution
To ensure international calls to mobile numbers in Argentina connect properly, make sure to always dial "9" and remove "15" when calling from non-Argentinian numbers.
For example, if you need to call the number (11) 1234-5678, the number that will need to be dialed is +54 9 1112345678. If you need to call (11) 15 8765-4321, the number that will need to be dialed is +54 9 1187654321.
Please be aware that if you receive an inbound call from an Argentinian mobile number, it will be received without the “9," thus the record of that call in Aircall will show the number without the "9". If you attempt calling that number back directly, or if you call a contact saved with the number from a missed/inbound call, the call will fail. Users should always ensure that the number they are dialing includes the "9" and excludes the "15" before attempting to call an Argentina mobile number.
