Number Ranges
In Germany phone numbers are often associated in ranges or “blocks”. A range can be as small as 10 numbers and as large as 100+.
If the number being requested to be ported is within a range it will be required to port all numbers within the range together. It is currently not possible to port one number that is part of a larger range.
It is strongly recommended to confirm with your current carrier if your number is part of a larger range/number block. Confirming this information before submitting a porting request to Aircall will assist our team with ensuring your porting request is submitted correctly on the first attempt.
Contract Cancellation Requirements
German Porting sometimes will require that the current contract has an end date before you will be able to port numbers out. We strongly recommend you contact your current carrier and inform them you plan to port numbers out in order to avoid rejections.
Regulatory Requirements
German numbers on Aircall’s network have regulatory requirements that need to be met before they can be fully activated and used. You can read more about why these requirements are necessary here.
It’s strongly recommended to have these required regulatory documents available before submitting a porting request. You can review the requirements for Germany here and a brief summary below.
⚠️ Please note you will need to have a “Local” address that matches the area code of your number if you plan to port Geographic numbers.
