How to create a new number in the Dashboard
Log in to the Dashboard.
Click on Create or port number located in the upper right-hand corner of the Number overview page.
A drop-down list will open. Select Create a number.
Next, you will be prompted to answer several questions about the type of number you would like to add to your Aircall account.
Define your number usage
Choose to create either a Classic number or an IVR number based on your needs. You can always change this for your number at a later time, and can learn more about number types here.
Choose a location and a number type
Select the country of the number you would like to purchase, as well as the number type and state/region/area code as necessary.
Once all fields have been selected, you may see additional messages regarding availability, regulatory requirements, or service limitations.
Assigned users (Classic numbers only)
Choose which users and teams you would like to use your new Classic number. This page will only show for Classic numbers, and is optional. Admins can add/change the users and teams assigned to the line at anytime after the number is created.
⚠️ Please note that if you choose to not assign a user or a team, they will not appear in the call distribution of the number and they will be unable to make and receive calls and view all activity associated with the number from their Phone Application.
Confirm your information
Finally, enter a name for you number, then click Create number.
Your number has now been created and you can continue with setting up your number (assigning more users or teams to the call distribution, setting up music & messages, etc..) Make sure not to forget this step!
