If you would like to use a certain number on your Aircall account to make outbound calls, but do not wish to be a part of the inbound call distribution, you can enable the Call and data access feature (formerly known as Outgoing calls only) on any particular number. Users added for Call and data access can make calls and monitor activity for the line but can not receive calls.
⚠️ Please note that at the moment it is not possible to set up a number for inbound calls only.
How to set up Call and data access on an Aircall number
- Log in to the Dashboard
- Select the Number you would like to enable Call and data access for. You can also search for the number in the search bar on the left side of the screen
- On the number's page, click on the Teams & Users tab
- Under Teams & Users, you will find the Call and data access section
- Click on Add a user
- Search for the users you would like to add to Call and data access
- Click on Add
The user added to Call and data access will find the number available to use in their application, and can start outbound calls. However, they will not receive any inbound calls to this phone number.
How to remove a user from Call and data access
If you would like to remove a user from the Call and data access option, you can do this by clicking on the 3 dots on the right side of the user details and clicking on Remove:
