If you happen to open the dialpad in either the desktop, mobile, or web application and see the call button greyed out, it indicates that you are experiencing connection issues. The Aircall app cannot establish a stable connection with your network, and therefore cannot initiate calls.

In order to troubleshoot this issue, you have to get your internet connection up to speed. If you are working remotely, the below are a couple of quick tips you can enable on your own home router:
-
Switch your router from 2.4Ghz to 5Ghz and keep the channel selection to Auto.
-
Check your bandwidth by running this network test and increasing it with your provider if necessary.
-
Grab yourself an ethernet cable for a more stable connection.
More detail about these tips can be found here in our guide to Aircall, COVID-19 and Working Remotely. If you are working in an office setting, you or your IT department can review our full guide on Network Recommendations.
